I have to admit, laughing with my buyers about how awful some houses look in person is something I may enjoy a little too much. 🤫

Italy has so many ancient ruins that you probably wouldn’t think twice if you stumbled across what appeared to be an old Greek or Roman amphitheater.

And apparently, plenty of people didn’t.

For years, tourists paid €40 for guided tours of “Anfiteatro Berico,” believing they were looking at an ancient amphitheater. There was just one little problem…

The whole thing was a modern-day fake, built in the 2010s and intentionally made to look old.

Look past the letdown

It’s annoying to go see a house you fell in love with online, only to see that it’s nowhere near as nice in person.

But overly enhanced photos may actually hurt a seller more than a buyer.
