I’m glad you’re here!
I’ve put together a nice assortment of bite-sized pieces of real estate news, entertainment, and resources I think you’re going to enjoy. (And maybe even learn a thing or two you never knew you wanted to know!)
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s on tap:

•  Might need to adjust your wish list…

•  Should you adjust to an adjustable?

•  Has the market adjusted?!

But first, let’s start it off with my…
Meme of the Week
Sometimes a little adjustment is all it takes. Although your toes may disagree. 😄

Might need to adjust your wish list…
If you’re the type of person who wants to spare a spider’s life, but you’re also not fond of the idea of it living in your house, you may have a bit of a conundrum on your hands.

Experts say many common house spiders are actually adapted to living indoors, and putting them outside could end up killing them.

Instead, they suggest relocating your eight-legged roommate to a part of the house you don’t mind sharing.

So perhaps the next time you’re looking to buy a house with me, we should add “spare room for the spider” to the list of must-haves.

Should you adjust to an adjustable?
Adjustable-rate mortgages tend to make a lot of buyers nervous. After all, when it comes to your mortgage payment, “adjustable” doesn’t necessarily sound like a feature you’d want.

But ARMs have changed quite a bit over the years, and they may not be as risky as their reputation suggests.

I recently took a closer look at ARMs, including how they work, the protections borrowers have today, and why one might actually make sense in certain situations.

“How’s the market?”
I get that question a lot, and I’m always happy to answer it! But there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. That’s why this newsletter doesn’t include weekly stats or price updates.

Besides, most people don’t care about real estate data until it actually matters to them. So instead of stats, I just try to keep this fun and entertaining.

Curious about a specific house? Wonder what your place is worth? Or just want a quick market snapshot?

Just hit reply and ask me! I’m always glad to give you any information, thoughts, or data you want. (And of course, no obligation or pressure! I love any opportunity to talk about the market.)

Trivia Time
What was the highest 30-year fixed mortgage rate in U.S. history?

A)  16.83%

B)  19.81%

C)  18.63%

D)  17.01%

Click the answer you think is correct.

Has the market adjusted?!
Trying to pinpoint when a buyers’ market will happen is nearly impossible. It usually doesn’t happen overnight, and even economists can have a difficult time declaring exactly when one has “officially” arrived.

But if you’re looking for some signs that a buyers’ market may be on the way, I recently published a list of 4 not-so-technical indicators to keep your eye on.

The fact is…
Some adjustable-rate loans stay fixed longer than they used to give you to pay off the entire mortgage. 😳

That wraps it up for this week!
